Traditionell wird Hamameliswasser zur Linderung von Prellungen und Verstauchungen eingesetzt.
Aufgrund seiner stärkenden und beruhigenden Eigenschaften ist es auch ideal für die Haut bei leichten Verbrennungen, Sonnenbrand und Insektenstichen.
Wegen seiner adstringierenden Wirkung ist es auch bei fettiger Haut, Couperose und roten Äderchen im Gesicht und an den Beinen angezeigt.
